Description:

Our enthusiastic guide takes you by foot through the historical center of the city.

On the program: not only the most famous places as the Market square, the Burg, fishmarket and the beguinage, but we also stop at some surprising hidden locations where we can taste and meet the city full of artisans, artists and just a bunch of nice people.

Including visits to chocolaterie Pralinette, the house of local artist David De Graef and the brewery Bourgogne Des Flandres:

  • Visit – Chocolate Pralinette
Passion and tradition is of great importance in chocolaterie Pralinette. All chocolate creations are made by hand according to traditional methods. This artisan recently acquired the label ‘Handmade in Bruges’. In the demo studio they will explain you everything from bean to bar. You will see how quality chocolate is tempered until it shrinks, shines and creaks just enough. You will learn how pralines are molded, filled, closed and tapped out of the mold. They will answer al your questions with love! And because our taste buds judge inexorably, we can of course taste a few chocolates. Proud member of Handmade in Bruges and special focus on sustainable chocolate production.
  • Visit – David De Graef
David De Graef invites you in his picturesque house. This visionary local artist lives in one of the most beautifully located residence in Bruges. His private 15th century house along the canal with secluded inner garden offers a unique view on the Church of Our Lady and the majestic Palace of Gruuthuze. David demonstrates us his airbrush art on the spot and tells you about the rich history of this house that once accomodated a range of royal guests such as Wintston Churchill and some people of the Belgian royal family.
  • Bourgogne des Flandres 60
Bourgogne des Flandres occupies a very special place in the Belgian beer landscape. It is a typical example of the Flemish brewery tradition in which old and young beer are judiciously mixed until a perfect balance is created. After almost 60 years, Bourgogne des Flandres is back in the center of Bruges with its own brewery since a couple of years. Proud member of Handmade in Bruges. Here we stop for a drink during our tour.
